Gruffalos

This term we have been learning how to write character descriptions.  We read lots of stories written by Julia Donaldson because she writes good descriptions to help us learn what to put into our descriptions.  We loved the story The Gruffalo.  We used her description to paint a giant sized gruffalo.  He had to have purple prickles, a poisonous wart at the end of his nose, orange eyes, black tongue, white horns, tusks and claws.  We then used the skills we have been learning in print making to make a border around our art works.  We used bubble wrap paper.  We painted sparkly paint over the top of the bubble wrap and then pressed in onto black paper.  We then had to stick our border onto our art work.
