Gymnastics and Support Staff Day

We had lots of fun at Gymnastics today in the hall.  The mums and dads helped us.  We went through a tunnel, under the parachute, and then through the shapes.  Then we got to move to a new station.  We had to be a pencil and roll along the mat with straight legs.  We also used the balance rocker.  It was tricky to make it move backwards and forwards with a partner sitting on it.  At the next station we walked and jumped with both feet up onto a box.  When we jumped off it we had to land like we were on a motorbike.  At the next station we had a balancing beam and the hedgehogs.  It was tricky to do a heel toe walk up so high in the air.  When we jumped off the beam we had to land like a motorbike as well.  At the last station we had to jump the hurdles and balance an egg on a spoon.  We also had to run through a long ladder on the ground.  We hope that the parents that came to help us had a lot of fun too!
It was also Support Staff Day today.  We celebrated the work that Mrs Perry does around our school.  We treated her with some orchids and a fabulous card that we made.  It had paper flowers with chocolate centres and our smiley faces inside.  She does a great job at our school helping children with their learning.
