Sporting stars

Room 2 have some Touch Rugby stars who play on a Tuesday night at Nunweek Park. Misha, Benjamin, Henry and Jackson all made some great touches and worked well as a team.

Character descriptions

Today we wrote silly sentences using what we have learnt about adjectives, nouns and verbs.

Then we swapped sentences and we had to draw what the new sentence told us. This helps us to make a picture in our readers head.

We have been using a programme on the ipad called Tellagami. We have been learning about character descriptions and have been using this to introduce ourselves, what we look like and the actions that we like doing. We chose what we wore, our hair and eye colour and the background that we are standing in front of while the Tellagami is saying our words.

Discovery Time

Exclamation Marks Reading

Today at Reading time we heard a fancy pants word that we didn't know. We had to use the internet to help us learn how to pronounce the word dugong. You say du then gong to make the whole word dugong. We then watched a youtube clip so we could see what a dugong does in the ocean. It digs down into the sand and seaweed. It eats the roots of the seaweed.
